A visit to the Nicco Park
This was the first time that the children from The Kolkata Centre of HOPE got an opportunity to pay a visit to Nicco Park which is an Amusement Park in Kolkata. The above image portrays the joy and exuberance in the kids when they went for the various rides in offer, namely "Toy Train", "Water Merry Go Round" and "Water Boat Ride".I thank you for your support and prayers, without it I believe this wouldn't have been possible. Please continue in providing us with your able support and prayers. Thank You.

Doctor checking a child at the KCOH
It was a wonderful opportunity to have Dr Subramaniam Dhanraj working with various NGOs come for the first Medical Camp organized at the Kolkata Centre of Hope School. I was extremely glad to have him check all my children and finding most of them fit. I would like to thank all for your support and prayers for enhancing the program ahead.

Report for the month of September
Hirak Mondal the only son of Mr Shankar Mondal from Piyali. He has another elder sister who is also part of the Kolkata Centre of Hope.
His Father works as a vendor in the train and earns something between Rs 40/- to Rs 50/- per day. One of the most promising student of the Kolkata Centre of Hope, but everything is not that rosy for him and his family. Most of the time he has to kill his desires and wants because of the scarcity in the family. His father works extremely hard to make both ends meet but most of the time struggles to do so. Hirak loves to study but the difficulties in the family had barred his father from getting him admitted to any school. Along the way some of his neighbors once mentioned about KCOH and at once he came along with his son for admission. Shankar Mondal his father is glad that he could put his son to a school were he can study and do something for himself. Hirak along with studying also helps out his mom in the house. Hirak wants to become a Pilot when he grows up and fly airplanes. My best wishes are with him and his family and may God fulfill his dream.

The very first time Teacher’s Day was celebrated in the Kolkata Centre of Hope. I must agree the children did a fantastic job in organizing it, definitely with a lot of guidance they hosted the program well. They organized a small skit for the teachers, put up a dance performance and even contributed Rs 5/- from their side as a token of gratitude to the tireless serving by their teachers. The Management helped out in purchasing wonderful gifts for the teachers by the contribution collected and presented to them by the students. Over all the students by their performance and the teachers by seeing their performance were extremely happy. A Great Day in total.
